So... What's This?
We should probably explain what The London Particular is all about. Basically, we’re a filter, scouring through hundreds of blogs, websites and newspapers to find the most awesome stuff going on in the nations ( world’s? ) capital.
We have some big ideas for this project, but for now we’re a Tumblelog. That means we will be posting links, short news items, photos, videos and the odd music track, but won’t be providing a lot of context or flowery writing to go along with it. We reckon that most of the time, the places we’re linking to will be able to do that for themselves.
What we’re aiming for is a stream-of-consciousness river of news and content. Hopefully you’ll like the stuff we find and come back another day.
In that spirit, you should see The Particular as a kind of highly abbreviated contents page. Or as the insane, lonely soul dressed in rags and wearing a beaten-up top hat, screaming nonsense headlines at you whenever you cross Waterloo Bridge.
